(NEW CASTLE, IN) - An inmate at the New Castle Correctional Facility has been convicted of running a major drug ring from inside the jail using an illegally smuggled cell phone.
Wesley Hammond reportedly made over 5,000 calls.
An Indiana Department of Corrections spokesman said illegally smuggled cell phones are a huge problem in prisons nationwide.
