(UNDATED) - The Indiana Department of Education says online ISTEP+ test taking is running smoothly following three days of service interruptions for as many as 9,000 Indiana students.
IDOE Spokeswoman Lauren Auld says the interruptions, which lasted up to 15 minutes at a time Monday through Wednesday, were likely caused by the server's bandwith becoming overloaded.
She stresses the disruptions did not impact students' test scores.
Auld says the IDOE has voiced its frustration about the technological snafu with vendor CTB McGraw Hill.
But she notes the agency has learned to expect the unexpected.
