(FRANKFORT, IN) - A Frankfort soldier is recovering at Walter Reed Medical Center in Washington D.S. after being injured in the line of duty while serving in Afghanistan.
Sergeant Jamie Jarboe was on foot patrol with other soldiers from his unit when they were ambushed.
Jarboe was struck several times in the neck.
He had surgery in Fallujah before being flown to a hospital in Germany and then to Walter reed.
Jarboe also suffered a collapsed lung. He cannot talk and cannot move his legs.
He's currently in critical, but stable condition.
