(UNDATED) - When the space shuttle endeavor lifts off this Friday, a Hoosier, or rather a boilermaker, will be sitting at mission control directing the shuttle’s flight.
Gary Horlacher is a Purdue Graduate from Chesterton, Indiana and will serve as the lead flight director for the 2nd to last shuttle flight.
Horlacher says has served over 80 shuttle missions as a flight controller and 4 missions as a flight director.
