(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - Indianapolis Animal Care and Control officials have confiscated two small horses from a northwest side home in a case of possible animal cruelty.
Amber Myers, Assistant Administrator over Field Operations for ACC, says they had received complaints about the condition of the horses and sent an investigator to check on their condition.
One horse is described as extremely thin.
Myers says the other horse has extremely long hooves that are in need of trimming.
The investigation is still ongoing and ACC has not released the name of the horses' owner.
Myers says once the investigation is complete, they will pass the case on to the Marion County Prosecutor.
