(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - Indiana’s two newest millionaires accepted their Powerball winnings at lottery headquarters in Indianapolis Thursday.
32-year-old Darin Fox of Jeffersonville and 38-year-old Todd Reardon of Clarksville, claimed their $221.7 million prize.
Fox purchased the tickets at a Circle K in Clarksville.
The two "retired" welders had been buying tickets together for three years.
Fox says they always bought four Hoosier Lottery tickets, but he says the Powerball Jackpot was so large, he bought two Hoosier lottery tickets and two Powerball tickets.
The two say they plan to purchase land for hunting.
Fox says he will also buy a home for his parents and new truck for himself.
Reardon says he plans on buying a dirtbike for his 11 year old son.
They took the cash option and will be paid $111.7 million, and will receive about $40 million after taxes.
