(UNDATED) - With flooding concerns across many parts of the state, it’s time to look at your sump pump.
Central Indiana Hardware owner Pat Sullivan says waiting until it fails is not the right time to do something.
Sullivan says sump pumps should be replaced every 4-5 years.
Sullivan says replacing the pump is much less expensive than the aftermath of a failed sump pump.
He says anyone can buy a sump pump for 80 to 130 bucks and install it yourself at no extra cost.
Sullivan estimates, with installation, replacing one could run up to $500.
