(UNDATED) - Governor Mitch Daniels appeared on ABC’s “This Week with Christianne Amanpour” Sunday and explained why he decided to not run for the Republican nomination for the presidency.
Daniels said he thinks he made the right decision in choosing his family over his country.
He says his children were leery of a run for the White House because of privacy issues.
He did say that he would have focused on the economy had he decided to run.
Daniels added that social issues need to take a back seat to dealing with the nation's deficit, saying "if this country goes broke, we're all in this together."
