(UNDATED) - Republican Presidential Candidate Mitt Romney donated $15,000 dollars to Indiana Congressional candidates last year, but with Indiana Governor Mitch Daniels pondering a White House run of his own, it’s not buying him any support just yet.
Romney endorsed Senator Dan Coats and Representatives Todd Rokita, Larry Bucshon and Todd Young after their primary victories last year, and sent donations to their campaigns.
Young says he's grateful for the support, but he's actively encouraging Daniels to run.
He says his top priority is a candidate who will get spending under control, and says Daniels has proven in Indiana he's willing to tackle difficult issues.
Bucshon says bringing down the debt is his top issue too.
He's waiting to see if Daniels gets in, and will support him if he does.
Even if Daniels sits out the race, Romney isn't assured of the Congressmen's support.
Both Young and Bucshon say if Daniels isn't an option, they'll assess the field before making any decisions.
