(GREENFIELD, IN) - A former marine and Greenfield native says the death of Osama Bin Laden is indeed a victory for the military.
Josh Bleill joined the Marines shortly after the September 11th, 2001 because of the terrorist attack against the United States.
Bleill was in Iraq when an IED blew up his humvee.
Bleill lost both of his legs as a result.
Bleill says the capture or death of Bin Laden was a goal of the military and the mission's success is a success for all who serve.
Bleill also says it will be a morale booster for those who continue to serve, especially since the mission is far from over.
Bleill now works as a junior spokesman for the Indianapolis Colts sharing his story of perseverance and over-coming obstacles with school and civic groups.
He has also written a book about his experience.
