(UNDATED) - Gas prices are starting to creep up again ahead of the long Memorial Day weekend.
Many stores across Central Indiana have moved from around $3.70 for regular to back near $4.00 a gallon.
Greg Seiter with AAA Hoosier Motor Club says it's an issue of demand - more people on the roads going longer distances. Seiter says the prices almost always inch backward once the holiday is over. Prices had inched down toward $3.50 a gallon earlier in the week.
Seiter says another factor in the spikes is problems with distribution of gasoline around the Midwest over the last few weeks.
