(SHELBYVILLE, IN) - They say it was staged. New details from the Shelbyville Police Department concerning the disappearance of the Guy family.
Robert, Debra, Joseph, and Zachary Guy went missing May 10th. Offering few details, Chief Bill Elliot says the officer who went into the home saw something "peculiar and backed out."
Elliot would not say what that was due to the investigation being on-going.
Elliot says they want to talk to the family, but no word yet on when they'll return to Shelbyville.
18-year-old Joseph Guy is facing a charge for allegedly disabling his GPS device.
Elliot says the devices are easy to remove.
Guy is expected in court next week on a stalking charge out of Marion County.
