(WASHINGTON, D.C.) - Indiana Senior U.S. Senator Richard Lugar agrees with the mission to kill Osama Bin Laden.
Lugar told CNN's "State of the Union" that it likely was a failure in intelligence that it took so long to find the Al Qaeda founder.
However, Lugar says the U.S. should keep its alliance with Pakistan, even though they offered no intelligence on Bin Laden hiding out in Abbottabad.
He says the main reason is that many terrorists live in Pakistan and travel to and from Afghanistan.
He says the country's nuclear capability, and it's lack of security, are other factors in keeping them an ally.
