(MUNCIE, IN) - The Ball State Storm Chasers continue to track severe storms in the Great Plains.
Dr. David Call says while they didn't find any severe weather in Missouri, they were able to get their equipment up to speed by following thunderstorms in the area.
He said they were heading to southern Kansas and northern Oklahoma to track more storms.
At least four people died Tuesday in Canadian County, Oklahoma after tornadoes and thunderstorms devastated the area.
Dr. Call said the purpose of these trips is not to learn more about tornadoes but to teach the students how to recognize severe weather situations so they can warn people and help save lives.
