(RICHMOND, IN) - Reid Hospital officials say a computer stolen from the home office of an employee may have contained files with personal information on approximately 20,000 patients.
Reid President and CEO Craig Kinyon say that the computer was password-protected.
Police believe the computer itself was the target of the thieves.
Notification letters have been sent out to everyone affected with information about the incident and the hospital's response.
