(NEW CARLISLE, IN) - A two-year-old Northern Indiana boy has died after being shut in the trunk of his mother’s car.
Isaac Dunner's mother found him and his 4-year-old brother in the trunk of her car at around 3:00PM Friday.
The vehicle had been parked in the driveway of her New Carlisle home on a day when temperatures reached nearly 85 degrees.
Police are investigating how the two boys managed to find their way into the trunk.
The 4-year-old is in critical but stable condition at a South Bend Hospital.
