(WASHINGTON, IN) - The City of Washington, Indiana, has settled in a wrongful death claim involving the police shooting of 42-year-old Stephen Lee.
Police claim Lee was shot and killed in September 2008 after he refused to put a shotgun down and pointed the weapon toward officers.
The recent settlement did not find fault with the officers or dispatcher connected to the incident, but Lee's two children will split $576,000 from the city's insurance carrier.
