(MONTICELLO, IN) - A Monticello man will spend 76 years behind bars for stabbing to death a retired teacher in Northern Indiana.
21-year-old Jason Forrest was sentenced Monday after a judge rejected his attempt to withdraw his guilty plea.
Forrest previously confessed to police he broke into 67-year-old Judith Claypool's house near Lake Shafer and stabbed her because he thought she had recognized him.
Claypool had been a teacher for the Twin Lakes School Corporation.
