(FORT WAYNE, IN) - A Fort Wayne teenager and his mom are lucky to be alive after a semi-trailer crashed into their Amtrak Train in the Nevada Desert Saturday.
The deadly crash killed six people and many others were injured.
However, neither 18-year-old Alex Graham nor his mom Anne were seriously hurt.
Graham says he was reading a book when he saw a wall of flames come past his window and he later looked out an emergency hatch and saw lots of smoke coming from up ahead.
After the train stopped, he says he helped several injured people get off the train.
