(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - With the national unemployment rate rising 9.1% in May, one staffing specialist says Indiana is still looking good.
Indiana's unemployment rate dropped to 8.2% in April.
Stacy Rouse with the staffing firm that's good HR in Indianapolis says they saw an unexpected spike in employment activity during fourth quarter 2010 and also a big improvement in first quarter 2011.
She says while unemployment is going down in Indiana, the number of people looking for jobs has been consistent due to people becoming more comfortable with the stability of the job market and becoming more willing to take the risk of looking for a job.
The state unemployment rate for May is scheduled to be released on June 17th.
