(NOBLESVILLE, IN) - Noblesville Police are searching for a missing 74-year-old woman whose great-granddaughter was abducted and found within the same 24-hour-period.
Neighbors say Dorothy Heard vanished sometime Monday.
They say heard left a note for her male friend saying she would return, but she hasn't been seen since.
Meantime, police say a man abducted Heard's great-granddaughter Serena Weicht.
The girl's parents Todd and Dawn Weicht say she was riding her bike Tuesday evening when a man pulled up in a car and snatched her.
They say the suspect released the 11-year-old several hours later after she started talking about god.
The Weicht's say they're thrilled to have their daughter back, but now Dawn Weicht is worried about heard who is her grandmother and Serena's great-grandmother.
Both Noblesville Police and Tipton County investigators say the cases are not related.
Also, the Weichts and Heard's neighbors describe the 74-year-old as mentally alert and sociable.
They say she wouldn't just wander off.
