(UNDATED) - President Obama’s announced pullout of 33,000 troops from Afghanistan over the next two years is expected to have little, if any, impact on current deployments of Indiana National Guard personnel.
A smaller force might need fewer support personnel.
Guard and reserve troops frequently perform such functions for military regulars.
But Sgt. Jeff Lowry declines to speculate.
The Indiana National Guard has about 1,000 troops deployed overseas in the global war on terrorism.
