14-Year-Old Pleads Guilty To Setting Buses On Fire

(LAFAYETTE, IN) - A 14-year-old Lafayette boy has pleaded guilty to juvenile charges of arson and four counts of criminal mischief for starting a fire that gutted four school buses in Tippecanoe County.

The fire caused nearly $500,000 in damage.

A final disposition hearing, the last step in the juvenile justice process will take place August 10th.

Prosecutors say the boy will remain in secure detention until then.
