(GREENWOOD, IN) - The Indiana Civil Rights Commission is investigating claims of sexual harassment at a greenwood restaurant.
The commission says there is probably cause that several female employees of Fireside Brewhouse were repeatedly sexually harassed by the restaurant's former general manager.
Brad Meadows with the ICRC says most businesses do have sexual harassment policies but Fireside Brewhouse did not.
He says unlike large corporations, some smaller businesses won't have those policies in place.
An issue of probable cause means there is enough evidence to show that civil rights laws have been violated.
A public hearing can determine if civil rights laws were violated and if so, remedies can be provided including monetary damages and a change in the company's training and policies.
