(UNDATED) - Indiana families with college bound students are being encouraged to consider a private college education.
The independent colleges of Indiana kicked off the private college week tour this week.
ICI President and CEO Richard Ludwick says Indiana's 31 private colleges and universities are hosting tours and other programs on campus for families to learn more about their educational opportunities.
Ludwick says in general Hoosiers see the value of a private college education.
Private colleges offer smaller class sizes and study abroad programs.
Ludwick says they also have higher rates of graduation within four years compared to other institution of higher learning.
