(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - Indianapolis-based Wellpoint has been ordered to pay up after taking months to tell 32,000 Hoosiers about a potential security breach.
Customer social security numbers, health records and other personal information was exposed online back in March of 2010, but they weren't told about the risks of identity theft until June.
Now, Wellpoint will pay Indiana $100,000 to settle a lawsuit filed by Attorney General Greg Zoeller.
