(UNDATED) - With the new texting-while-driving ban in place, there are plenty of options for people to go hands-free.
Most cell phone retailers sell hands-free products for phones include Bluetooth wireless sets.
Crystal Davis, Communications Manager for Sprint/Nextel, says they haven't seen specific numbers on recent sales for hands-free products in Indiana yet, but they typically see a 15 to 25% increase in hands-free accessories when a new law is implemented in a specific state.
She says most consumers are already aware of the dangers of texting-while-driving, especially after similar bans have been put in place in other states.
Davis says people can avoid getting a $500 fine by spending a little less money and investing in hands-free technology.
