(WEST LAFAYETTE, IN) - Purdue is joining several other institutions to address high-risk drinking in Vermont.
The "learning collaborative on high-risk drinking" is being held by Dartmouth College President Jim Yong Kim.
Purdue Assistant VP of Student Affairs Lee Gordon says the information learned at the collaborative will be used by the campus improvement team over an 18 month period.
Gordon says about 40% of college students in the U.S. engage in binge drinking.
Gordon says it's hitting home this week at Purdue, with the death of Sean Matti at Lake Freeman.
