(MUNCIE) - Muncie Police say the body found in a wooded area Wednesday is 40-year-old Kimberly Nelson.
The woman had been missing since the morning of August 1st.
The Delaware County coroner determined her cause of death to be a suicide of asphyxiation by strangulation. Authorities believe Nelson used a cord tied around a tree branch to hang herself.
Captain Mark Vollmar says police have a few questions they will see to answer, but are considering the case closed.
