(STATEHOUSE) - Governor Daniels hired a nationally known public safety and crisis management firm to assist the State Fair Commission on their investigation into Saturday night’s stage collapse.
James Lee Witt and his firm, Witt Associates, will conduct a comprehensive, independent analysis of the state fair's preparedness and response. Witt assisted the state of Louisiana with their assessment of response to Hurricane Katrina.
The governor also requested the state's inspector general assign several investigators to assist with fact finding and documentation.
