(UNDATED) - Classes begin Monday for students at Indiana’s first online charter school.
Scott Badger, Director of Enrollment at Indiana Virtual School, says online schools are necessary for certain families.
Badger says the courses will be one-on-one between the student and the teacher. Teachers are licensed Indiana teachers who will be assigned to specific courses and specific students.
Courses will be available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week so a student can be at school at any time of the day.
Badger says the school will include courses such as physical education which normally require a physical presence by the student.
Badger says parents can get an idea of the coursework available at their web site, www.indianavirtual.com.
