(DANVILLE) - Indiana Attorney General Greg Zoeller filed a complaint against a Florida-based foreclosure consultant company in Hendricks County court.
The complaint alleges legal home loan solutions violated consumer protection laws by holding illegal operations in 15 Indiana counties and failing to provide refunds to customers when services were not provided.
Indiana law requires credit service organizations to register a $25,000 asurety bond with the attorney general's office prior to offering any consumer services, including collecting money upfront.
The lawsuit lists 21 victims from various counties around the state. The suit also names federal Home Loan Solutions, Matevia Law Firm and Thomas C. Matevia as defendants in the case. Matevia is the owner of all three businesses.
