7 Year Old Dies After Being Hit By Car

(INDIANAPOLIS) - A 7-year-old boy struck by a car died Monday in Indianapolis.

Yair Agapito was at a birthday party when investigators say he ran in front of a passing car.

Police said a lawfully parked Ford Explorer blocked the boy's view of oncoming traffic, as well as the driver of the Jeep's view of the child.

Police said alcohol was not a factor in the accident. It is also unknown if speed played a factor.
