(UNDATED) - The Indiana Blood Center is marking the 10-year anniversary of 9/11 the way thousands of people marked the day at the time.
After the September 11th attacks, 6,000 people poured into Indiana Blood Center offices to donate blood -- so many that the center had to shut down for a couple of days because it had all it could use.
The blood center has kicked off a 10-day, 10th anniversary drive at nine locations in Indianapolis, Lafayette, Terre Haute, Columbus, Muncie, Carmel, Fishers, Greenwood and Avon.
