(WASHINGTON, D.C.) - An Indiana congressman is speaking out following president Obama’s jobs speech Thursday night.
8th District Congressman Larry Bucshon (R) says there were parts of the speech that were "more of the same" but other parts that he liked.
He says he was happy to see the president wanted to recognize that some of the entitlement programs, specifically Medicare, are in financial trouble and that if we are to keep the program working for current seniors and future seniors, that the program's going to need some changes.
Bucshon says he did have concerns about the raising of taxes in Obama's plan. He also has concerns for more government spending with the plan.
However, he says he will wait for President Obama's proposal on how to pay for the plan.
