(GARY) - Indiana State Police had to stop traffic on the Indiana toll road for much of the overnight hours while crews worked to pick up a 35-ton crane that toppled over in a westbound construction zone in Gary.
The crane was moving a load of steel rebar from a construction area when it toppled onto its side.
Troopers say the left lane in the construction zone was blocked off earlier so the crane could unload steel rebar off a semi-flatbed trailer into the construction area.
