(INDIANAPOLIS) - A new report from the ‘La Times’ found that drug deaths now outnumber traffic fatalities in the U.S.
Scott Watson of Heartland Intervention is not surprised by the statistics given the fact that their primary recovery text is "left untreated, addiction ends in jails, institutions and death."
Watson says a major reason in the spike in drug deaths is the increasing availability of prescription drugs, which he says are more dangerous than ever before. He says sedatives, called benzodiazepines, are becoming more abused too.
