(UNDATED) - As the 10th anniversary of 9/11 approaches, a former Indiana congressman shares his story from that fateful day.
Lee Hamilton, who served as vice chairman of the 9/11 commission, says he had just boarded a plane that was set to fly to Indianapolis from Washington D.C.. When the attacks began on September 11th.
Hamilton says he could see the smoke from the Pentagon through a window at the airport. He says while he returned to work the following day, he could see an obvious increase in security around Washington but he could also see a return to normalcy in the country.
