(INDIANAPOLIS) - IPS is dropping its lawsuit to stop the state from taking over four of its schools.
The Indianapolis Star reports Superintendent Eugene White will also stop funding for all sports and extracurricular activities at Donnan Middle School, and Howe, Manual and Arlington high schools. IPS will fund the programs through the end of the school year, but after that it's up to the state to fund them.
The state is taking over the four schools after they spent six consecutive years on academic probation.
