(GRANT COUNTY) - A Grant County sheriff’s deputy was killed early Sunday morning in a car crash.
Just after midnight, two cars collided on County Road 950 East, north of State Road 26.
Off-duty deputy Matthew Swain, 41, of Fairmount, was driving a Chevy Camaro southbound and crossed the center lane, striking a Pontiac head-on.
Swain was ejected and died at the scene. He was not wearing a seatbelt. The other driver suffered serious injuries.
