(INDIANAPOLIS) - The Super Scarves Program by the Indianapolis Super Bowl Host Committee has reached a milestone.
The program where scarves are made by people all over the world to be worn by Super Bowl volunteers reached their goal of receiving 8,000 scarves.
Super Scarves Committee Co-Chair Katie Vicars says they received the scarves from 36 states and three countries.
The scarves will be handed out to volunteers later this year for them to wear at various Super Bowl activities.
Vicars says the only criteria was to use blue and white, but she says some were knitted, crocheted and even woven.
Pictures of many scarves can be found on the Super Bowl committee website and there is also a plan to display some of the scarves before they're handed over to the volunteers.
