INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - Crews are investigating after more than a dozen people touring the Statehouse felt sick Thursday morning.
Two people reportedly passed out, though it's unclear why. Indianapolis EMS officials say 14 people were evaluated by medics at the Statehouse and two people were taken to IU Health Methodist Hospital.
Emergency crews responded to the Indiana Department of Education offices at 9:42 a.m. The original call was for hazardous materials and people saying they were having trouble breathing.
Firefighters were checking the building for air quality, but it's unclear what caused the people to fall ill.
Officials tell 24-Hour News 8 a group of graduate students from IUPUI were touring the building.
