(UNDATED) - An Indiana native was killed in a firefight in Afghanistan.
The Defense Department says 24-year-old Army Ranger Ricardo Cerros Jr. died of wounds suffered when insurgents attacked his unit. He was on his first deployment to Afghanistan. Family members believe Cerros may be buried in Gary with family.
