(INDIANAPOLIS) - New research from the University of Michigan shows that one in ten parents of young kids aren’t following the recommended vaccination schedule for their children.
Dr. John Christenson, director of pediatric infectious disease at Riley Hospital for Children at Indiana University Health isn't surprised by the findings.
He says many parents don't get their children vaccinated out of fear and sometimes a lack of accessibility.
Dr. Christenson says Riley will offer a family vaccine program on Monday, October 10th. The program is for parents, caregivers and siblings of Riley patients. For more information visit iuhealth.org/riley.
