(UNDATED) - Another state-supported Indiana University is jumping on the lower summer tuition bandwagon.
The University of Southern Indiana said Wednesday that administrators will ask its Board of Trustees in a special session Friday to reduce the price per credit hour of summer session courses for in-state undergraduate students by approximately 20% beginning next year.
The move would reduce the current $193 per credit hour for Indiana undergraduates to $154 per credit hour next summer.
An undergraduate taking a full load of 12 credit hours would save $463 next summer. Indiana University last month said it will reduce tuition for in-state students enrolled at any of IU's seven campuses by 25%, and nonresident students will receive an equivalent-dollar reduction in their tuition as well. The discounts take effect next summer.
