(GREENVILLE, KY)(WFIE) - A Western Kentucky school was placed on lockdown after a student kills herself in the parking lot Monday.at the Muhlenberg County High School West campus.
A 17-year-old senior killed herself in her vehicle while parked in the school's lot.
The school was placed on lockdown around 8:30; that lockdown was eventually lifted and school was back in session.
School officials say no other students were in danger.
Greenville police say they will be investigating how she got the gun and what led to this.
Grief counselors were at school, speaking with students.
