(INDIANAPOLIS) - Indianapolis Police are searching for the man who they say robbed a near east side restaurant armed with a potato peeler Sunday afternoon.
According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department report, the suspect walked into the restaurant in the 3400 block of E. 10th Street and pulled out the six-inch weapon.
The man tried to get into the register but was unsuccessful. Police say he had to ask one of the employees how to open it. After learning how to open the register the man cleaned it out, including pennies and ran from the restaurant. Police have not found the man.
