(JOHNSON COUNTY) - A man found dead inside of a Johnson County home died of natural causes, the coroner found.
Police arrested 28-year-old Jaacob VanWinkle on a parole violation on Sept. 24 after identifying him as a person of interest in the death of 50-year-old Michael Eaton.
At the time, Police said VanWinkle told investigators he did not kill Eaton but admitted to moving the body and burying under clothes and blankets it inside of the house.
Now, the Johnson County Sheriff's Office says they are forwarding the case to the prosecutor's office for review and to determine what, if any, charges will be filed.
Eaton had been listed as missing for several weeks before his body was discovered in the home. Authorities found VanWinkle hiding in a Brown County forest.
