(HOPE) - A police standoff at a Hope restaurant ended early Wednesday with a woman surrendering.
Police were called around 11:30 p.m. Tuesday to the restaurant in the 300 block of Jackson Street. Police were called because a woman was threatening to harm herself.
The Columbus police SWAT team were called because of concerns the woman had a weapon. Columbus police negotiators and the woman's ex-boyfriend talked to her and she surrendered.
No one else was inside the building, according to police. The woman is not being identified because she was not arrested. She was taken into protective custody and transported to Columbus Regional Hospital for a stress evaluation. She was later released.
