(INDIANAPOLIS) - The issue that brought Indiana’s last legislative session to a grinding halt is the top priority for majority Republicans in the session to come.
Majority Republicans in the House and the Senate announced Monday that "right to work" is job one.
Republicans say making Indiana a "right to work" state will mean more jobs, but Democrats say it will crush workers' hopes and dreams.
The issue sparked a five-week walkout during the 2011 legislative session. Some union members are set to protest at the Statehouse today.
A legislative study committee voted along party lines last month to support a proposal that would prohibit workers from being required to pay union representation fees.
